If I had to replace Pacino with another nom I'd pick Dean-Charles Chapman who was Tom Blake in 1917. He killed it in that role.

I think I could co-sign that. 1917 was visually stunning, but weak on story. Chapman really threw himself into the role and made it more personal. I think I cared more about his fate than I would have if a less capable actor had been in his role.

I think the only conceivable noms for black folks was Lupita in Us and either Rob Morgan or Jonathan Majors for Last Black Man in San Francisco. Lupita was should've gotten nominated ahead of Erico. I love Cynthia, but she was much better in Widows and Bad Times at the El Royale.

Eddie Murphy should have gotten a Best Actor nom for SURE. Lupita in US was a brilliant performance, no matter what you think about the movie she carried that shyt on her shoulders.

If Toni Collette didnt get one for hereditary there was no chance lupita was getting one because she wasn't as good :umad:
