It will be incremental upgrades...you are making too much out of it honestly. There are no big changes under the hood. Consider it an i3-i5-i7, but with an APU in mind and clearly not as drastic in difference.

The OS should be the base for several years and AMD slowly throwing better APU's in the system. This isn't complicated.

There's still 100 million+ 360/PS3 owners who havent bought PS4s/XBOs yet, and those consoles are 9 years old. Gamers arent going to buy a console every 2-3 years. Having to "upgrade" consoles would be fukking stupid and defeat the purporse of console gaming. Easy, hassle free gaming.

If they went to an iPhone like cycle I wouldn't be mad. Long as all games were compatible like apps. Ps5 games work on ps4 just with certain shyt turned off and ps4 games work on ps5 but run better.

That's exactly how they should do it, but these cats can't see that these elongated console cycles are holding things back.

Go on a year year support cycle. Starting work on a game requires at the very least compatibility with the 2012 machines and keep it moving. It can be a low, med, high cycle.

This shyt isn't that complicated

Maybe they need to take some tips from Samsung, Sony, Apple, and Motorla and cell phone companies. Subsidize the price with an xbox live/ps+member ship

that's a lot of words up there. Didn't read all of them. But I will say, this blaming console gamers for devs making scalable games is complete missing the point.

The majority of "gaming" PCs in households aren't high end either.

High end PCs are a niche market.

Devs would be stupid to limit their games to that market.

exactly i totally dont believe in dropping the blame on consoles. devs and publishers make those choices.

the 3 year console cycle thing to keep up with pc sounds like tremendous waste. any resource put into that could just be used to develop properly for each platform as they are, since multiple skus would require that level of effort anyway

in a perfect world theyd all just respect the platforms and stop porting everything

This isn't really a knock on PC gaming as I'm a PC gamer myself. I just tend to scratch my head when I see this "You guys are holding gaming back!" posts. I see the logic but it's not really thought out. There's too much to account for when asking for something like this. For me I'm perfectly fine with my PC/console options. I know exactly what my consoles purpose is. I get games and stuff crafted on consoles that I know I can't get anywhere else.

whats funny most of those PC games are optimized for consoles first then PC. Dudes try to act like like they are above the console stuff when they are just as bad as us or even worse. Dudes catching feelings in obvious troll threads is proof in the pudding
