The acting range on Jeffrey Wright is insane and I didn't realize

One of my favorite actors. he has a combination of denzels charisma, and daniel day lewis range.
sadly he hasn't gotten the same degree of varying roles he used to get when he was younger.
Plays mostly scholarly gentlemen types now.

Obviously he's been on cruise control playing the "Jeffrey Wright" role more often than not... but i mean shyt he's turning 60 and more than earned his stripes. Given that this is Hollywood we're talking about, black actors like him and David Oyelowo who aren't action stars for young men, heartthrobs for females, or "funny" goofy types for white folks but are actual actor's actors... it's not always gonna be an abundance of roles that allow variety.

Jeffrey Wright is a great actor. Truly underrated. American Fiction was genuinely one of the best movies I've seen in a while.

I really liked the movie of him as the writer and the fake militant. That was an interesting movie and one of the better original films ive seen in a while. Reminded me of an old school 90s drama/comedy in a good way. The ones they dont make anymore.
