@DEAD7 being in the HOF is hilarious to me :mjlol:
As I said before on here, he is the Donald Trump of HL

Only reason he became a mod and thus HOF, is because a bunch of trolls and lower information voters voted for him

And he was removed from the position once people found out who he really was

That Charlottesville shyt was the real Dead7

And if you pay close attention to the threads on here regarding certain events you can tell by his dumbass smiley response and obligatory "dap" to any constructive criticism of his awful takes that he truly is as awful as most of us know he is

The pendulum swung back and gave us Trump... If it was worth it to you, then ok, I just don't think it was given where the nation is now.
To be fair, theres no saying that we still dont get Trump without it, but I think it played a considerable part in waking up MAGA and opening the door for them and the extreme partisanship we see today.:manny:

:russ: You seriously can’t believe this. Either you’re trolling or dumb as fukk. Or both.

You know what? That’s not a terrible take, because it was an lightning rod for Republicans to use this legislation as a rallying cry with misinformation and lies to swing the House, Senate, and ultimately the White House.

So was it worth it? When I looking backward, no. Looking forward, fukk yes.

That’s absolutely bullshyt. What gave us Trump is a black man got elected to be President. Not one single piece of legislation did.

And that’s part of the lies and misinformation. Demonize the (half) black man and his policies by attacking him, not just personally but also toward anything that would make him favorable to people. Once they got one chamber of Congress back, they could stall or slow any possible progress.

Let’s look at this clearly: There was always going to be a large subset of Americans with distrust of Obama’s policies and an overlapping subset who distrusted Obama because he was black, but what really happened was they were able to tie those policies down ballot. This was amplified with increased ability of the older members of these subsets using social media and mistakenly confusing their personal opinions with a conservative viewpoint.

It stoked that racism and spread misinformation faster than ever before resulting in the Republicans taking control and failing to govern. So now you have that combined same subset upset at both parties and following Trump.

Let’s dig deeper: The Republicans had no real plan to “repeal and replace”, let a moron hijack their party, don’t have true point of reference on policy, and the only real piece of legislation they passed was tax cuts..... *looks at the national debt*......... which wasn’t coupled with substantial spending cuts, didn’t create massive growth, or create the tax revenue expected pre-COVID.

And now that Trump has failed, there is no way to overturn the racism and misinformation. In fact, how many members of congress on Wednesday used the words “conservative” during the Impeachment debate. Or videos you’ve seen interviewing Trump supporters use “Conservative”. Few, if any. And that’s because the attacks on Obama were grounded in racism, misinformation and lack of true policy goals (fighting socialism vs conservatism).

Meanwhile, despite the damage done to the ACA, it has functioned as a positive for the America people, health insurers, and the healthcare industry.

Trump's rise to power was a construct of white fear. It was inevitable.

Cost both houses of congress, and the oval office... and was ultimately repealed.
:manny:Don't think it was worth it. Bad legislation IMO.

Some of my family members were able to go to the doctor when previously they would have never even tried to due to cost. Totally worth it to me. Thanks Obama

I actually enjoy his posts. I am diametrically opposed to most things he says on here and mainly read his posts with a hint of sarcasm. It’s like he knows he doesn’t truly believe it but likes being the contrarian. I like to buy him a beer in real life and laugh and shake my head at the shyt coming out of his mouth.
