Sometimes I Cry: The Toxic Hypermasculinity Of Black Men

I started noticing it on Shea butter twitter. But now I’m hearing on regular conversations with regular black women :skip:

shyts bout to blow up with Issa Rae and her show going to focus on it :pachaha:

Issa Rae Says A Theme Of 'Insecure' Season 3 Will Be Toxic Black Masculinity

Issa Rae Says A Theme Of 'Insecure' Season 3 Will Be Toxic Black Masculinity

What’s the end goal of this? :beli: To continue to paint black men as unabashed savages out here that invented patriarchy  the agenda is real and our women are reinforcing it :mjcry:

I stopped messing with these kind of topics too hard. In particular when someone told me on another board (that doesn't need to be named) that the only reason why my experiences with black men have been mostly positive, or rather, with low toxicity, was because I was light skinned.

Now, I supposed she raised a good point, if we were talking about a certain type of dude, but that would mean I just so happened to walk paths with that certain type of dude my whole life.

Hmm
