The DTCC is the backer for securities in trading. So if all the hedge funds go under, the DTCC will step in and pay the funds. If AMC or GME get to be $100k a share, and the DTCC can't handle it, the US Gov't will have to step in.
So I was wrong. My bad. The DTCC is a private company.

That's how I see it as well. Fought hard to keep it below 60, and they're going to go hard to keep it around here, if not lower to shake investors. Same with GameStop under 200 atm
