Beilein just had to fukking go to the NBA. Imagine Beilein with a 5 million dollar roster.
Eh, he went to the NBA because he lost Iggy then Jordan early to the draft and got fed up with the college landscape. That was pre-transfer portal and NIL. He isn't cutout for this era.

Yeah but like Harbaugh and is “transformative not transactional” bs.

Still I would’ve handed him generational wealth and told his old ass stay in the gym while we work out who is going to be on the roster every year:

Great coach, but yeah, this NIL era ain't for everybody. The older coaches really got fed up with it. Coaching has really become a younger man's game (50 and under)

TCU was picked to finish 10th in the Big 12. So two games in a row vs suspect teams Michigan looks like crap. Hopefully they figure this out by conference play, but moronic turnovers are probably going to be a staple with this coaching staff.

Hockey (#2) won 7-1 @ #5 PSU, hopefully football and WBB can both keep the winning going this weekend.

Damn, I keep forgetting UCLA is in the B1G:snoop:

Aside from the travel, I'm loving the new conference. Reminds me of the late 80s Big Ten in regards to the top heavy teams.

That 89 season is still probably my favorite. That's when Keith Jackson & Díckie V would do a conference game on Sundays on ABC:ahh:

Last year Michigan's season ended with a 55-76 loss to Notre Dame. Obviously it's a different team, but to run #18 off the floor and put Hidalgo in prison is impressive.

Only thing of note was Kendall Dudley started in what I imagine will be the starting lineup utilized tonight @UConn.

Fope is a 6'5" four star C who had committable offers from South Carolina and Stanford. She's the 9th highest rated player ever to commit to the women's team and she's very much a basketball baby as this is her fourth year seriously playing. They also signed four star G Devin Cosgriff earlier this year.

Tonight (8PM EST on Fox) is the biggest regular season game in the program's history vs #1 UConn in a pseudo neutral site game. However, despite being ranked 6th -- which is probably too high -- the gap between Michigan and UConn is probably 15 points, so how they lose would be more telling than if they lose. That's not a knock on Michigan, UConn is simply that good imo and sophomore Sarah Strong would be the first player taken in the next 2 drafts if she were draft eligible.

Michigan certainly has the ability to score the upset, but experience, coaching, and home court advantage are a lot to overcome. Turnovers will be key and KBA's teams are historically lackadaisical with the ball, so they'll need hot shooting and to force UConn into mistakes of their own.

Of course there's a reason they actually play the games, nobody thought KBA's SJU team would snap UConn's 99 game home winning streak in 2012. Hopefully something interesting happens tonight.

Fellas... I don't know if UConn would beat Michigan at a true neutral site. Other than horrendous first quarter (5-22), which was understandable given the environment, and a bunch of missed layups Michigan played them even.

Now my biggest criticism of KBA is starting BQD, this simply wasn't her game. I love Brooke (5'5") and understand the logic of putting a small pesky guard on Azzi Fudd (5'11"), but she gives up 6 inches and is, at best, a zero on the offensive end. When Kendall (6'2") and Te'Yala (6'3") were on the floor, together or with Ashley (6-3"), Michigan played a lot better because they have the length and athleticism to match up with them.

In any case, the ladies showed they're incredibly resilient and deserving of their ranking. It's good to see Syla return to form. Their next game is Sunday at 12PM EST on FS1 against Michigan's former star Laila Phelia and Syracuse.
