I picked one up and its dope to me:yeshrug:
For me: the advantage comes from the ability to check notifications, send quick text replies, control my music all from the wrist w/o having to pull out my phone. For instance, if I'm in a meeting or somewhere that its inappropriate to pull out my phone I can get the messages from the flicka the wrist. Apple def has work to do in order to make it more appealing to consumers but I justified spending $400 on it because I wanted a fitness tracker that measures heart rate. The fitbit HR is $250, might as well pay the extra 150 for a superior product in Apple Watch:smugbiden:. Yes, Im an apple fanboy, I own a macbook pro, ipad, apple tv and iphone:manny:

Edit:
Getting directions while walking/driving without having to pull out your phone >>>

The look of the watch isn't what makes the person look like a douchebag, it's the fact that they're that much of an apple fan boy to go out and buy basically a pointless product. It's the weirdo followers who think just grabbing the newest apple item is gona make them look cool. Btw I have an iphone and love some apple products, but the people who run out and get everything apple drops, especially the ones waiting in line the day it drops are the douchebags.

People did the same thing for Jordan's....and people killed people over Jordan's. It's no different than shoes in the 90s.

My boss has one. He's an early adopter type of guy.
I don't see the appeal. I'm a late adopter.

Once you can start your car with it and its "easier to use" and marketed as towards being healthy and fit thing to have it'll start moving. Give it another generation or two.

Right now its pretty pointless.

Not a iwatch owner but I do have a smart watch. If you think it's dumb to own a smart watch or it's useless you better not own a "real watch" or a fitbit. Smart watches cost the same or less than your standard watches and actually have way more use and benefit.

Good. Smart watches in general are dumb

Not dumb at all, its just that apple is about 3 years too late just like how they are with any "new" technology they bring to the table.
My Motorola 360 is less then half the price, does what I like it to do and looks better.. Oh and Ive had it for almost a year now...

It was marketed primarily to be a fitness related device. Most of the people buying it could not point out their local gym on a map.

Keep in mind a halfway decent heart monitor watch is also a few hundred dollars without the other features that come with this.

That being said I've heard some good things about it in the gym. Im going to wait see before I cop. Apple watch may have some utility for some people but it's a niche market for those that will actually make good use of it
