Akira is the same as Blade Runner. Ghost In a Shell is the same as Akira. Dues Ex is the same as Ghost In a Shell. Cyberpunk is the same as Dues Ex
now that I think about it, Trails of Cold Steel is a copy of FF6 cuz they both steampunk. lemme write the series off

Cyberpunk is a genre so all that shyt got the same aesthetic. Futuristic slums with bright neon lights mixed with violence.

The story too its not verbatim but its like a copy and paste. If you seen the movie what im say wouldn't seem that far off base.
The movie starts off like he chose the corpo life in cyberpunk

Trans-humanism (ghost in the shell), corporate control of government, anti-establishment, police states, push for individualism, the advancement of technology to the detriment of privacy, deterioration of social programs and suburbs, hyper inflation, data is god, hackers are the anti-Christ....etc

The opening scene is like one of the night city pd mission of him hunting down a psycho- whatever you call them. instead of him being V his name is K. Love scene/interest is like silverhand and rouge but in reverse.
