Just thinking to myself about these game publishers and how grossly incompetent they are
Last year, Crystal Dynamics decide to make Tomb Raider platform exclusive which is perfectly fine, however, they release it in between COD, Fallout 4 and SW Battlefront, unsurprisingly it flops.
Respawn make a critically acclaimed sequel to Titanfall, now free from any platform exclusivity. Bigwigs at EA decide to sandwich it right between BF1 & COD:IW. The 2 biggest console FPS, needless to say it's flops too.
Riding the wave of the Borderlands series, Gearbox make a solid moba-lite in Battleborn, a genre rarely given shine on console. On paper, that's a good move. However, with a behemoth like Blizzard following suit, you have to delay the release window as you're not gonna win that fight. Consequently, it becomes the biggest flop in recent history, I can literally pick this up for less than £4 brand new (Buy Battleborn Inc Firstborn Pack | PS4 | Free UK Delivery - ShopTo) despite being out for just 6 months.
The above 3 examples alone have resulted in $100m+ worth of lost sales revenue, not taking into the various development & marketing costs. All entirely self inflicted and all avoidable with some basic managerial competency

I guess people just want official Nintendo cables. I swear Nintendo fans are a different breed.
