Was watching this vid

I find the analysis spot on. All the games ive sunk HUNDREDS of hours into over the past year are made in Europe or Asia, and NONE of them are price-gougey types. The rot here in the west runs deep and affects everything. Its sad really, but a reality check is BEEN needed

I've been playing fortnite since 2020. The falloff was always going to happen. But god damn did they really enshyttify the game of this chapter.

PlayStation Studios Removes Nearly All PC References From Websites

Recently, there have been reports that Sony is pulling back from its aggressive PC porting push for big-budget single-player games, with claims that PC versions of major titles such as Ghost of Yotei and Housemarque’s SAROS may have been dropped.

That speculation has gained even more attention after PlayStation Studios quietly updated its official website. The company has refreshed its main banner, now featuring Ghost of Yotei and Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, while removing Demon’s Souls Remake from the lineup.

Another noticeable change is that Bluepoint Games and Dark Outlaw Games are no longer listed on the site, following the closure of both studios. In their place, Sony now includes teamLFG, a new first-party studio comprised of former Bungie developers. The biggest change, however, is the removal of nearly all mentions of PC from the descriptions of PlayStation’s Studios. Only Nixxes Software, which focuses on PC ports, still includes the platform in its profile.

As spotted by user Zuby_Tech on X (formerly Twitter), Sony has updated these descriptions compared to the earlier versions. For example, PlayStation XDev previously said it was “collaborating with ambitious external studios across the globe,” while the new description now reads, “partnering with talented independent studios to publish exciting, exclusive titles for PlayStation players worldwide”, more explicitly highlighting the PlayStation console as its destination.

Another studio, Valkyrie Entertainment, made a similar change. Its previous description stated, “a well-respected studio known for producing high-quality work across a range of platforms, from console to PC,” and it has now been updated to “providing top-tier co-development expertise to several of PlayStation Studios’ most iconic and award-winning franchises, including ASTRO BOT, Helldivers 2, and God of War.”

While nothing has been officially confirmed by Sony, all of these repeated signs strongly suggest that this may be the direction Sony is heading in. Until we get any official confirmation, keep checking back with GameObserver for the latest updates on all things PlayStation.

Just bought this for PC and SD. Easily one of the best controllers I ever used.

Only $60 with better features than you get from controllers that are 3x the price.

Surprised there isn't an official Apple/iOS mega thread...

Anyway, just copped a brand new iPad Pro 512GB for effectively $180 :wow: added the engraving as well

Got a $450 gift card at work for good performance. We have an employee appreciation program where people can commend you for great work with points, and you can exchange those points for gifts like company swag, electronics, and gift cards. Exchanged my pts for a gift card. I've exchanged pts in the past for Airpods.

After, used some of my CC cashback to purchase some more e-gift cards and then boy at Apple hooked me up with that 15% employee discount :blessed:

Gonna pick it up in store this Thursday.

I think I'm set on major Apple purchases until the 18 comes out. When that drops, I'll upgrade my 14Pro. I still have a few more gift cards remaining...may use them for more airtags or for another ATV 4K (one for when I'm traveling, I've bushed firesticks lol). Thought about the iPad folio but can't justify $80 from Apple when I can get something similar for like $20 off Amazon.

Current setup
-iPhone 14Pro
-iPhone 12Pro (int'l travel phone)
-Macbook M4 Pro
-ATV4K
-Airpods Pro I and II
-Airtags for my luggage (2x)
-Apple Watch SE 3 40MM
-iPad Pro

Gerry Conway passed away. He created Frank Castle, Carol Danvers, Jason Todd, Firestorm, Killer Croc and others.

Gerry Conway, Comic Creator of The Punisher and Ms. Marvel, Dies at 73

The longtime Marvel/DC Comics writer also penned “The Night Gwen Stacy Died” and created the second Robin

Gerry Conway, an iconic comic book writer who created notable characters such as The Punisher, Ms. Marvel, Robin and Firestorm, has died at the age of 73.

Marvel Comics announced the news Monday through their official social media accounts.

“On behalf of his family, we are sad to share that Gerry Conway has passed away. Gerry was a tremendous icon in comics who shaped pop culture itself,” Marvel said. “He was a dear friend, partner and mentor, and our hearts are with his family and the millions he touched through his work.”

Conway first entered the comic book space in 1969 at the age of 16, penning a short horror story titled “Aaron Philips’ Photo Finish” in the DC Comics horror anthology book “House of Secrets” #81. He continued writing anthological stories for DC and Marvel Comics’ horror comics of the late ’60s and early ’70s before switching to superhero books following heroes like Ka-Zar and Daredevil.

At only age 19, Conway took over for Stan Lee as the writer of “The Amazing Spider-Man,” today undoubtedly the flagship series at Marvel Comics. It was during this run that Conway, alongside artists John Romita Sr. and Ross Andru, introduced the character of Frank Castle, a.k.a. The Punisher, a vigilante who went on to receive his own comic book series and has since been adapted many times over in film and television. This summer, Jon Bernthal will reprise his role as Castle in the Disney+ special “The Punisher: One Last Kill” and make his big-screen debut in “Spider-Man: Brand New Day.”

Conway’s time on “The Amazing Spider-Man” also featured one of the book’s most influential storylines: “The Night Gwen Stacy Died.” This two-issue story, penned by Conway with art by Gil Kane and John Romita, sees the Green Goblin abduct Spider-Man’s girlfriend Gwen Stacy and throw her off the George Washington Bridge. Despite successfully catching her with a web, Spider-Man can’t save from Gwen, who apparently dies from whiplash. This story was highly influential on the comic book industry, effectively ending the Silver Age of the ’50s and ’60s and kickstarting the darker Bronze Age of the ’70s and ’80s. He and John Buscema would also introduce the hero Ms. Marvel in her own title at the company.

Over at DC, Conway made similarly impactful contributions, introducing the second Robin, Jason Todd, in “Batman #357” (art by Don Newton and Alfredo Alcala) as well as the superhero Firestorm in his own title (art by Al Milgrom) and Batman villain Killer Croc in “Detective Comics #523” (art by Newton and Gene Colan).

Conway also penned the first Marvel/DC superhero crossover, “Superman vs. The Amazing Spider-Man: The Battle of the Century,” with art by Andru and dikk Giordano. These characters recently met again in two more Spider-Man/Superman crossovers, the latter of which released Wednesday.

Conway announced in 2022 that he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer but later declared in 2023 that he was cancer-free.
