What are we defining as light skin? Are we talking about biracials or light skinned black people?
Just light skin, light skinned people are still full black people. Biracials are not part of this conversation, they are an completely different subject matter.

This is argument is moot....it's documented that light skin folks get hired and treated better than more melanated individuals. Niccas will walk by a dark-skinned women on fire to offer spring water to a light bright.

If anything darker-skinned people has always had a harder road to hoe in America.

i said it.
Again, with the who's got it worse in the world instead of the actual topic at hand i.e it's existence of it within the black community :martin:

I’m so tired of hearing darkskin this and lightskin that, what about brownskin
the funny thing is brownskin is what most black americans are

but discussion like this will lead you to believe we either dark or light and its weird and clearly not true

black americans are predominately brown, why there is never any or more frequent discussion on brown skin people is crazy to me :mjlol:

even some nikkas who claim themselves as light or dark are not even light or dark they either just light brown(lightskin) or dark brown(dark skin)

light skin and darkskin black americans practically minorities yet they get the most coverage in a discussion like this, where most black americans are neither dark or lightskin

just like darkskin or brownskin(black/ indian mixed people) biracial people are included in the convos of brown and dark skin black americans

Biracials are black, as long as a black parent is involved in making them.

I’m worried about the systemic and mental oppression that society has forced with having darker skin, calling them “crybabies” when black ados men have been sent to prison longer or treated horribly in academic setting for simply having a different shade, is high key ignorant and you straight up sound like a white man that brushes off racism.

if biracials are black to you why separate them. your not black american but in discussions like this black biracials are included. frederick douglas is not being excluded from harriet tubman, sojourner truth in discussing who is dark, brown, light etc

and my crybaby comment is reference to mainly the women who are talking about dating politics not serious harmful systemic customs being had in terms of sentencing.

and those mainly be the ones crying colorism the most,
