A first-of-its-kind law went into effect in Philadelphia this month, mandating that all businesses accept physical dollar bills or coins in exchange for goods and services. Overall, the percentage of cash payments in the U.S. has been dropping, from 33% to 26% in just the past four years. That's prompted some businesses to go entirely cashless. But not everyone is buying in. Brook Silva-Braga reports.

:dwillhuh: In 2019 there's so many legit options for free online bank & credit union accounts that come with a debit card, if cashless is a problem for you, might as tell the whole world you're :flabbynsick:

It's gotten to a point where if you walk around with cash on you it's assumed you're a criminal. I've been robbed by police so many times for simply having money on me.

There are plenty of reasons why someone would use cash over cashless, mainly not leaving a paper trail. PLus I'm paranoid of being robbed.
