This whole "We are missing our best player" Argument just doesn't work with Zion and this is why Griff needs to go...

1. He shouldn't be your best win share player by a wide margin.
2. When teams are missing their best player... They are also missing up to 30% of their team salary and really working with low salary players.
3. Zion only accounts for $10 million of a $115 million salary sheet.
4. You can't just pin your championship aspirations on one guy. You need a squad of about 7 guys.
5. You got 17 million in trade exception and 27 million in filler salary. If we don't make a move before the deadline. Griff got to be fired.

Zion is an issue. Talent is a bigger issue. Teams miss their best player, but they aren't worst in the NBA bad. You can't just bet on internal growth while all you do is fix mistakes from last year and burn salary for mythical trades.

We need to have a conversation about Hayes and Kira. :mjcry:

Bust status label is warranted.

This team has devolved to disappointing filth.

Such high hopes and potential from the 2019-2020 season before the covid lay off. Other than a few individual player developments, been downhill ever since

really thought that core of Zo, Big Z, BI woulda been making noise in the West starting right about now…

Griffin might need to admit he messed up there and move on from them. Neither have 1 skillset that you can count on. With someone like Murphy you can project he will be a good 3 pt shooter. Herb Jones showing you amazing defense. When Herb left tonight and Hayes came in, McGee completely changed the game by going at Hayes. Hayes is an overall poor defender outside of weakside blocking, doesn't give anything on offense, and does not set screens. Kira looks like a 3rd stringer. I also don't know whats going on with NAW but shooting 34% when you are needed the most is gonna cost him some good money when extension talks come up. 99% of the bench should be overturned if we are keeping it real. Murphy/Herb/NAW (for now) are the only keepers. Griffin needed to go get someone like Montrez Harrel so you can have insurance for Zion. You need a strong bench rather than a bunch of unknowns. For 3rd year in a row, the bench has been bottom 5 of the league and masked by their starters. I was listening to some podcast and someone mentioned Griff does not know whether he wants to compete or rebuild and that is the best way to describe the roster last 3 years.

Griffin had a good summer this year though and I will give him credit there. JV, Devonte, the rookies are all a hit.

JV, Graham, Herb, and Murphy are core guys.

NAW is just doesn't know how to be a team player and his broken green light is a huge issue. He has to be coached up significantly.

Sad part of all of this.. Between... Bums like...

Hart
Temple
Tomas
Hayes
Kira
ETC.

We are literally putting $40+ million into nothing.

Griff got to make some business decisions to save his life and that involves dumping Hayes, Kira, and maybe NAW for real players.

Every game outside of the Bulls game has been winnable too, if this team had a league average bench, the record is much better. That is why it's more frustrating than usual. Willie Green has them playing defense and hustle. Griffin just needs 2 reliable bench guys and with a healthy starting 5, this is a playoff team imo. It might be too late this year though for anything by the time Zion comes back or Griffin makes a move, etc.

NAW will be given another contract and I think he should but he does need to figure out when to shoot and when to go in. He will probably go back to bench role when Zion comes back.

Man... If Griff wasn't a lying scumbag that does stupid shyt like compete for a playoff spot with $27 million in filler salary and a bunch of developmental guys with zero coaching continuity...

He easily could of bought him two more years with how fantastic this off season almost was, but it's 3 big steps forward and two small steps back.

Green, Graham, Jonas, Murphy, and Herb is byfar the best offseason in years.

But... Letting Lonzo walk and getting terrible filler is bad. You put yourself in a bad spot of making the team too top heavy and can't afford injury, but even if Zion was healthy. I don't think we would of been better than 3-4. Bench is awful.

Maybe if we offloaded Kira and a pick for Derozan in a sign and trade. Kept Ball. Brought in real vet guys instead of salary fillers. Keep Graham, NAW, Murphy, and Herb develop into a nasty bench.

Maybe we be the ones looking pretty at 6-1 instead of the Bulls if Zion was healthy.

This halfway competing shyt with Griff is old.

We are about to find out what he thinks about this year because this team could be very well 1-10 by the time Ingram even returns. He needs to be calling every role player available and trying to trade. Good options out there (Dragic, Hield, Rubio, Terrence Ross)

Probably won't happen. It seems like Benson locked him out of future assets for trading. Which probably clarifies the vibe of him getting canned if this year is a failure from media day. Which is almost a 100% lock.

There only bet is to get salary dumps of decent player in multi team trades it seems.
