I wish they would embrace the more fantastical side of Batman for the films. Clayface, Manbat, Killer Croc specifically would be

If Gunn is smart enough to go with Battinson as the new DCEU official Batman, then that would make recasting Clark make sense as you could build a universe around them and the Justice League.
He should view The Batman as the DCEU version of Iron Man (the movie that kicked off the MCU). Anything short of that wouldn't make sense.
Doing it this way establishes the characters the way they should have been established in the first place. Each character should have had their own brand and corner in the DCEU where you establish them and their supporting cast, the way Iron Man and Captain America established War Machine and Falcon and others.
I'm looking fwd to a Robin, a Batgirl and everybody else.
They have a chance to get this right.

Reeves Batman is an Elseworld Batman he's not canon to the connected universe like Phoenix Joker isn't

If not, ensure you separate it from Earth 1 where Gunn's universe will take place (Sure he will as DC has always made note to acknowledge seperate universes in their shows/movies).
I do hope that Reeves will allow for less grounded characters.

how would yall feel if Reeves fleshed out the Bat Family and that world and Gunn did Superman and then the two met later? They could do that if they wanted..
