For golden state the 3 is the entree, not a side dish like it should be.

There was a stretch in the 4th where there were 5 straight possessions by GS where they either shot a contested 3 or tried to run klay or steph off pin downs but were defended too well to get a shot off. On those possessions they shot an awkward two and missed, which is not what the offense is designed to produce.

Their entire offense is predicated on 3s. Like literally the whole offense. I have no idea why people try to ignore this or don't admit it.

They've got arguably two of the top-10 great 3-pt shooters of all time on their team - why shouldn't it be designed around them taking 3s?
