Beasley most recently played in the Chinese Basketball Association, signing a one-year deal with the Shanghai Sharks on Oct. 9, 2014. He averaged 27.1 points, 10.4 rebounds, 5.2 assists and 1.92 steals in 37 games while shooting 51.3 percent from the floor. His time with the Sharks was highlighted by capturing MVP honors at the 2015 CBA All-Star Game where he came off the bench to score a CBA All-Star Game record 59 points.

He was with the Grizzlies in camp.

But he was efficient in limited minutes last year with Miami. It's just he can't play defense.

With Bosh out, he may be able to help at the PF position.

They need the help badly because starting Haslem in 2015 and having a bench that looks like a weak d league team is a recipe for disaster, but I don't think this will make a big difference. He's got some talent but his mental make up and approach to the game is terrible. He's basically just an undersized, terrible defensively, low efficiency, volume scorer.

He has one of the lowest basketball IQ's I've ever seen. Unless the ball is in his hands in the triple threat position, he's completely lost on the basketball court.
