a gun that size is not practical for self defense. plus, it's made for hunting honestly.

furthermore, that ammo is expensive as hell to boot.

Facts.

You take one of them joints into the woods (when hiking, hunting etc) as a "bear stopper" in case you come across a Grizzly or even some wild boars.

For basic self defense, a 9mm is all most people need. Anything beyond that, and you're opening yourself up to liability when them bullets pass through the intruder and hit all kinds of other shyt and people. Rifle/shotgun is OK if you live on a bigger property.
