Only 3 Starting Black QB's played in the Super Bowl. Doug Williams was the only one to win. (Bryon Leftwhich and Charlie Batch did get a rings with the Steelers as a Backup QB's).

80's: XXII: Won by Doug Williams over Elway
90's: XXXIV: Won by Warner over Mcnair
00's: XXXIX: Won by Brady over Mcnabb

Black Starting QB's in Conference Championships:

NFC
Mcnabb: 2001,2002,2003,2004,2008
Vick: 2004
Cunningham:1998
Williams: 1987

AFC
Mcnair: 1999

Sadly the Black QB has had it hard in the playoffs but we've been in atleast 1 Super Bowl in the last 3 decades. One will make it again this decade and hopefully he wins it.

List is all kinds of fukked up lol.

The list really shouldnt be that big... You coulda left the young guys off. I guess you coulda put McNair up there, but if i could remember well.... he wasnt a top QB. they relied on a strong run game and Defense. He was good though.

lets narrow it down

Did he win a championship at any level of his career?

Did he win an individual player award at any level of his career?

if he doesnt satisfy those two he probably isnt the man

but i can think of one :skip:

why is this even up for debate

no other black qb has come close to Moon

if he wasnt blackballed early in his career he might've been the goat qb and not just the goat black qb

I liked Warren Moon....but ALL he did was pass. Great passer, not the greatest of completion %'s though. The Dan Marino of Black QBs.
so we should slight Dan Marino because all he did was pass? Im not understanding this point.

I had to go with Randall Cunningham.

He's the best black QB I've ever seen and the most complete QB.....until RGIII showed up:yes:
Even with the dope high top fade he had, I cant put Randall above Warren Moon. Not anywhere near the passer, and Moon was good to great for a long time while Randall's came in a burst.
