So should he not acknowledge it? Roman is in an awkward place. He can't be the 'top guy' in the same way as the Attitude Era guys were. Or the Cena way. The latter is exactly what we're trying to avoid. This isn't the Rocky and Austin days. As much as Vince tries, you can't just plug your ears and act like it's all good. There's a specific subset of wrestling fans that REALLY don't like him. Yes, I know it has spread to casuals but let's not act like we don't know who are the ones that have flames coming out of their ears whenever he wins a match. Or those who don't give him credit where credit is due and try to downplay all good aspects of him as a wrestler. Ignoring the hate did not work. Acknowledging it is the way to go. Roman is cocky and smug. Everything he does, it's in the most :rrmad: way whether he means it or not. All he has to do is take that persona all the way and it's money. THAT is who he is and that's the Roman people wanna see.

This "the guy" run is just as bad as Cena pandering in my book and your right he was in a no win situation. so the best alternative for Roman was a corporate heel turn but they chose to leave him without a paddle for months until recently.
I'm not saying he has to ignore the boos but shytting on a part of the fan base that he trying to ultimately win over isn't the best choice either.But we can agree to disagree.
