There's a spot near me that sells used books for like 50 cents a pop. I haven't been there in years. Now that I have time I should check it out.

That sucks about your house catching fire. When it comes to materialism, and even a sentimental standpoint, that's one of the worst things to feel.

Yup i used to scour the thrift stores for books. I had one across the street that had a huge collection and they were all .30cents. I used to spend hours in there. I hated the library cause i never wanted to give the books back.

Yeah, then you have everyone telling you "well you alive and well, your family is fine so thats all that matter"
And i wanted to scream that my life was in that room!!! I was the only one who lost everything. The fire started in the ac unit which happened to be right outside my room
Everyone just had water and soot damage but my belongings my books! My prized possession were burned to ashes. But i had to agree and shake my head and say yeah everyone is okay lol. While inside my heart was breaking, years upon years worth of memories down the fukking drain.
Ill never forget it.
Im sorry for my rant its just the memory of that time is hitting me.
I lost them all, ill never get over it.
