I agree about Kanye but TI and Wayne were HIGHLY skilled lyrically in their primes. Put Wayne from 02-07 or TI 04-08 on a track with anybody and they hold their own. Anybody that's heard The Carter 1,SQAD,Dedication,Urban Legend,Down With THe King etc...can't disagree.

I can and do disagree, I'll give you T.i. cause I never fukked with him like that to go through his shyt but Wayne?:rudy:
Lets discuss this "Wayne was hot from -- to --" shyt, could any other "elite level" lyricist go from being considered the greatest alive at some point in time to dropping shyt like "when it waynes it pours" and other amusingly TERRIBLE lines in a matter of years all while being accused of having ghostwriters and STILL be taken seriously? Its not drugs fam...Imagine if a wordsmith like Pharoahe Monch got accused of having ghost writers then completely fell off immediately after and started saying corny shyt like "These bytches think I'm too high/tell them bytches I pluck feathers"

from 1996 onwards that list is bogus.

2000- Ghostface
2001-Nas
2002-Scarface
2003-Jay-Z
2004-Mf Doom
2006-Ghostface

what that list show though is how powerful the 80's were. look at the ninjaz who was exchanging batons. krs, to rakim, to slick rick, to big daddy kane, to ice cube.

now we have drake winning 2 years in a row? lmao. weak competition.

Basically just "who had the most buzz" in the year ___. Not a horrible list though honestly.

List is straight but I gotta give 2007 to Wayne. I went from being a casual fan to a full blown stan in that year. Da Drought 3 was just too godlike. And wasn't he featured on like 70 songs that year? nikka had that year all to himself.

nikkas really fuked wit Qtip like that:heh:?I'm really askin genuinly cuz I don't know...but the year Cube dropped Death Certificate y'all wuz on Qtip that heavy that he gets the spot over Cube? I would think Chuck D or Cube could split 90,but out of respect let Cuck have 90 and Cube have 91 and 92....again I like Redman but y'all wuz fukin wit Redman like that:heh:?u think he could outrap Cube if they went up head to head?did he outsell Cube or sum suprising shyt? Snoop should have 93 and 94,Doggystyle got released late 93 I believe and he wuz still ridin the wave into 1994....the same reason they slidin biggie into 95 is why u gotta slide snoop into 94 imo...RTD dropped 94 but had the big singles come out in 95....96 obviously goes to the gawd:pachaha:
