The Mash up era....Not to be comfused with "blends" (you know the ones that gave DJ Ron G his career)....The mash up era started with that Jay Z / Beatles Grey album thingy by Danger Mouse.....soon there was a Mashup fad in the mid 2000's that really didnt do to well. Perfect example......That Jay Z/Linkin Park album was :scust:


anyway the best song to come from long forgotten era was this mash up by DJ Swindle where he mixed MJs Billy Jean with the lyrics to Ems "Just Lose It"

The song bangs...had Em actually used this beat as the single instead of the original he would have had an undeniable hit

I remember the DJ Muggs \Mash Up Radio mixtape he put out with rap and rock blends.

Had Jay-Z Dirt Off Your Shoulder over Tool an Nas I Know I Can over Johnny Cash.
