I lived in NYC for 24 years but I visited for the first time and tried Sylvia's in Harlem in 2018... I literally staggered out in disappointment Those undercooked yams are burnt into my memory for LIFE


So basically, next time... I need to go to Shaolin and Enter The 36 Chambers?

Staten Island has no type of attractions that makes people not from there want to go there





It was always funny when I rode the SI Ferry to Staten Island and all those tourists that be on the boat and as soon as the boat docks and lets everyone off, all of the tourists do that Abe Simpson GIF and go on the other side of the terminal to catch the next boat back to Manhattan

Yeah, I had soul food in all three of those places you mentioned and enjoyed food from all of them. I'm not sure if there's an clear cut "best" soul food restaurant but I'm not an food snob and it doesn't take much to make me happy when it comes to food



Staten Island is so far out of the way and it's annoying to travel to by public transit. Yeah, if one has a car you can drive over a Verrazzano Bridge there but its a toll bridge.

I haven't been in NYC since September, and when I did live in NYC I didn't know this restaurant even existed So no, I haven't tried their food.





Always nice to see a Black owned business do well so shout out to them, I'm sure the food is
