Does it have to be a tablet ? I think Chromebooks are good investments. Inexpensive, u basically can't get any viruses on it, and so long as u have an internet connection (which most students always do) it can function like a full pc

:ehh: Good option also. As long as they function as good note taking (MS one note) devices also. Although I already have a laptop

Chromebooks don't have support for any Windows programs nor the storage.

Im thinking of going with an android possibly Samsung and preferrably one that works with an S Pen
I start grad school next month I was told tablets are pointless unless you get like a surface pro or whatever
This is gonna be my 3rd year in my program and trust me, they are invaluable considering the amount of notes you will print out otherwise. Surface pro is awesome tho I wont deny that if the price tag doesnt scare you. Im actually quite salty that I waited this long...Ive spent at least $150 just last year on printing notes

I don't think these cheap Androids will be good for note taking. Cheap specs, no multitasking, have to use a mobile app to keep your notes, pen support probably isn't that good. If you can afford it, invest in a used surface 3 or surface pro 3.

If you got the money, go for the Microsoft Surface :ahh:
Or the Surfacebook Pro. The detachable screen and pen :ohlawd:

I love mine. They're pricey at the higher levels, but it's like the ultimate laptop/tablet combo. I don't regret my purchase at all
