Keeping my overhead low, and my understand high
Is how walkable it is :wow:

I have my google tracker on and walked 49 miles total in the month of March :banderas:

Yesterday I walked 7 miles without even realizing it :wow:

I wish there was walkable cities in the U.S like this in Florida and NC :mjcry:

Cities were you gotta drive everywhere :mjtf:

That's why everyone wanna move downtown into mixed use areas with proper public transportation.

Suburbia overrated

Living out here in Denver i miss the walkability of NYC. Even though my apartment is not too far away from Downtown, i would just walk, take the train, and skate everywhere. I would skate from Bushwick to the Lower East Side and hit up L.E.S. Coleman then Tompkins Square Park
:blessed:

Here you need a car and EVERYBODY it seems like has a car.

Definitely a New Yorker thing. Them sidewalks be too damn busy and crowded. You get tired of bumping into people walking the opposite direction all the time if you’re not used to it

Its only like that in Manhattan, the outer boroughs sidewalks aren't as crowded.

I hop in the whip and I’m at Walmart in 3 minutes or walk in 15. There are at least 200 stores on a 9 mile stretch starting at right where I live with duplicate stores every couple miles and all of it has sidewalks. Idt NY “walkability” is fukkin with that. I don’t have to get on a train or walk 100 city blocks to get what I want. I don’t have to leave my general vicinity for anything outside of specific entertainment venues

True that, I haven’t done much walking in Queens/BK/SI. But Manhattan and some places in the Bronx is disgusting. I don’t remember what train I was on but it was northbound going uptown and the damn yankee game had just ended. I was stuffed like a can of sardines with a bunch of cacs in that train. Told myself never again :sadcam:
