Not relevant whatsoever. Hip hop started as a competition. It only makes sense for the fans to have that same competitive nature. It has been common practice for fans to overrate their favorites or hype up their accomplishment, nothing new about it at all. Hes over seen two albums by his artists. Triple Cs, which flopped horribly and Wale,an artist with an already existing fanbase who didnt make it to gold. No mmg artist will get a plaque.
