Let's not do that cause kendrick himself gets by on that a LOT

No he doesn't, his voice and delivery is what people like least about him when you ask people who don't like him or are on the fence about em.

And Jay Rock's voice and his aggressive delivery is why people are saying he had the best 'verse' but lyrical, he got outshined like he usually does when hes with TDE label mates...

Precisely.

Define amazing verses. Cuz Kendrick has some pretty good songs that feature more or less average lyricism, like Swimming Pools.

Ronald Reagan Era
Rigamortus
Kush & Corinthians
HiiiPoWeR
Sing About Me, I'm Dying of Thirst
The Art of Peer Pressure
good kid
m.A.A.d city
How Much a Dollar Cost
Ignorance Is Bliss

Guess we got a different standard of "amazing" :dame: (mostly the ones I quoted are questionable)

Those ain't the whole album either. And Rigamortis is more showcasing flow than lyrics.

What was lyrical about his verse? Because it's basically similar to what he's spit a few times in the past.

Not to mention he was saying the same thing Kendrick was, Kendrick was just using a different flow.
It doesn't matter if it's the same as Jay Rock's other content, that's irrelevant here.

In comparison to Kendrick's verse, Rock's verse was more impressive on every level

"From the gardens where the grass ain't cut, them serpents lurking blood
bytches selling p*ssy, nikkas selling drugs, but it's all good"

From the metaphors to the imagery he was superior to Kendrick on that specific track, and plenty other songs on gkmc.

You must not listen to a lot of gangsta rap because that 'visual' has been done a lot...

Not to mention it's rumored he gets help on his verses...and I'll just leave it at that.

Kendrick's painted a more realistic picture of kids fukking around in Compton instead of the already done super thug lyrics of Jay Rock....

I'm just here to judge the lyrics. Rock was better and everbody acknowledges this :yeshrug:

Besides, the whole concept of "good kids" growing up in "maad cities" have already been done many times before Kendrick too. :pachaha:

Yes it has been but see I wasn't doing what you were, which is trying to act like he really was doing something mind blowing and special :snoop:

I don't get it.

If you're not acting like what Kendrick did was mind blowing and special then what's the problem with thinking Jay Rock might have the best verse on the album? :dwillhuh:

Saying Rapsody had the best verse on TPAB is like saying Bahamadia had the best verse on Illadelph Halflife
