Everytime a team runs a read option play i would tell the defender to ignore the running back and hit the qb with everything you got no matter what. You will give a few first downs in the beginning but eventually the QB is going get hurt or injured.
I feel like negging u 4 bringing up football related topics in July when the only sport on TV is cacball![]()
Damn, i cant believe nfl defensive coordinators didnt think of that...you're a genius breh. Especially to think about this during the middle of the summer...with no football going on...and no examples of this ever working...shyt...you're the man now dog. Maybe the redskins need a new dc...you thought about applying? Just send this insightful thread, I'm sure they'll send an offer swiftly
See you on Friday
Good luck winning an NFL football game doing that shyt. Roger Stalin has made the QB untouchable 90% of the time. Perfectly clean hits are even getting penalized if they're too "hard"
fixedI feel like negging u 4 making a stupid ass thread as usual
In the read option the qb isn't passing, they're a running back so they're giving up their body.
They will eventually get tired of taking hits or they will get hurt. Now a Qb scrabbling on a broken play is something else. Nothing you can really do about that but contain with gap responsibility and not let them get to the edge. You still have to attack and hit either way.
so now let me tell you why this bullshyt doesnt work:
its easier said than done. you try to go for someone like kaep and his legs on purpose with a big hit he shakes you and goes for a long TD. defense allows this again and the DC will be on his knees gointalkin to the head coach mad as fukk at him.
saints had a whole bounty set up to kill qbs but how many did actually get clipped hard ?
and what youre asking is basically playing right in the offense's hands. youre not stopping the read option really...youre just hedging the present yards for the future. doesnt work like that in football.
You will always be one of the least intelligent posters on this forum. When you hit the qb enough it will take its toll. Just ask Vick. RGIII broke down taking hits. it all catches up with you in the end. Most mobile QB's get hurt including someone like Big Ben. The read option just allows more hits at the qb and if they get hit enough as I said, it will affect how they use it. You can't run it every down. Attack the qb.![]()
You might be on to something...
The defense has gotta start tackling that guy with the ball
