Does it explain why Jesus didn’t stop slavery or any other tragic events on earth?

Because slavery was 7 years long and then you got your freedom and some cash. There were even "holidays" where you could and supposed to free your slaves early.


Slavery pre 1500 is very different than slavery post 1500.

If you made a movie of the bible from Judges to Kings and switch up the character names and most known plot points a bit and maintain all the vileness and wickedness in it, people wouldn't know it's a religious book. David & Saul were performing genocide like it was nothing and were 'God's chosen'. Kings like Jehu were beyond maniacal killers. That's why a lot of pastors/priests/evangelists don't like referencing the historical books in the bible while preaching. Nothing but murder and political scheming sprinkled with some religious undertones.

I tell people all the time. If you made the Bible a movie series it would break box office hits and win all the awards. The amount of fukkery and violence is wild.

Even the Jesus chapters MFers be talking slick and wildin.

Almost done with Genesis and realizing that these stories are actually pretty interesting.



At the part where Jacob reconnects with Joseph and brings the whole crew from Cannan(?) to Egypt.

A lot of odd stuff: women essentially having no rights, multiple wives, folks living to 130+, dudes constantly plotting and scheming, God sonning entire groups of people, God speaking to some people but not others … But yeah, it’s surprisingly interesting.

Planning to read the whole thing by end of year, then reading the Quran next.

just reading the Adam & Eve story, and dwelling on it...reflecting on how things are still similar today is a trip.

And the Enoch story, and how after Noah got to be so old God was like “these niccas tripping, imma put a cap on how long they can stay alive” lol

What did you think of the story of Noah & the pre Flood time bro?

I found it kinda…odd that God would kill EVERYBODY ON THE EARTH (except for Noah’s family). Just seems kinda mean, immoral, and ungodly to be quite frank.

Breh, forget what happens to Noah pre-flood, the end of his chapter LITERALLY after getting off the boat is mad

He gets a vinery and one night gets stupid drunk, takes all his clothes off and gets butt naked then falls asleep. His 3 sons happen to come to his house in the morning and 1 son sees him naked and mocks him and points at his private parts , the other 2 cover him by walking backwards over him with a big sheet so not to see him naked. He disowns the one who mocked him.

And thats the end of the story! No other part to it, no explaination, nothing!

What am I supposed to make of that story
