I've done a couple of those sales jobs. I interviewed for one spot selling Quill office equipment. With them each salesman gets a section of town that they go day to day through each business in the area selling. I forgot the percentage that you got back from commission but it wasn't all that much. The hook was that after a year and a half if you're one of the top salesmen you get an 80G salary and become a manager which entitles you to a portion of all the salesmen's commission under you. I started asking questions and breaking down how it didn't make sense for the salesman and walked out.

Later actually worked at a mortgage company that refinanced mortgages. I eventually quit because I saw how bad we were ripping people off and just couldn't deal with it.

Most jobs on Craigslist are fake. If they don't have a company website or local phone number listed, I wouldn't bother with it.

Any job that sounds too goo too be true, is probably not true i.e make a lot of money doing a little bit of work or some enormous amount in a weeks time.

:dead: @ Afton/Big Time and their struggle shows. they must make big money off of idiots who want to do their hoe ass karaoke in front of their friends and family

i still get emails from Afton at least 5x per year and even if i respond disrespectfully they will keep going with it.

I've had two scammy experiences

I think it was Cutco., but I did sell knives for like a week

And the illest was this Craigslist job that was supposed to be marketing for big names like MLB teams and such

I knew something wasn't right after they talked about how much money you could make, but, the interviews were in this dusty office space and they actually took us to McDonalds for the group interview

Everyone was dumb young, too

I forget the name of the company, but, I could not find a thing about them online

I feeel bad for not reporting them

I called back to see if I got the job and no one answered

There secretary was just some lady on a desk with her laptip

I was desperate for a job, brehs:laugh:

oh yeah... five star thread.

There is no "easy" way to make money online.

While it IS possible, it DOES take work.

Warrior Forum if full of people making money by teaching regurgitated courses on how to make money online.

There's even expensive courses of warrior forum that TEACHES you to make money online by selling courses on Warrior Forum.

Meanwhile, places like cashcrate and ZNZ aren't "scams", per se.... it's just more money is made from referrals and your downline. You ALSO have to watch for offers that will charge you a monthly fee. Keep a spreadsheet with offers, days and dates... cancel after 15 days. Good for 10 dollars here, 15 there....

:heh: I actually had to report a debit card as stolen to get it deactivated so a place like this could stop charging me 40 dollars monthly.

@Mr. Negative I need your help when it comes to ZNZ(and cash crate also if u can) the scam thing is out of control....people are too stubborn and just wont listen to you...they hear you...but they dont listen...

do u know of someone who could be a guarantee referral for my znz account? Ive been trying to do this since november

The Forest Where Hope Died
SCAM 4: PAY TO PLAY (AFTON MANAGEMENT/ENTERTAINMENT)

Scenario: You are a singer, in a band, a rapper, or a dj. You've been promoting your music, working on your music, and working to get gigs. Then, all of a sudden, you get an e-mail from someone who is looking to book shows in your area and think you would be a good fit their ext show! I guess this is a ticket to the big time...right? Exciting...isn't it? You go through with them and they book you for a show. Then, they tell you the details about it.

At this point: After they tell you the details, this is what they want you to do.
  • Create a log in with their site to create your "unique profile"
  • There, you will activate your "e-tickets" and physical tickets for the show
  • These tickets are meant to be sold to 15-20 people. if you sell 25 tickets you get a first choice of set time..
But here's the kicker, the money that you make from selling those tickets goes to AFTON MANAGEMENT/ENTERTAINMENT! So you are basically paying out of your own pocket to play your own show and from that money you will only make a very small amount of it back, the majority of it goes to afton. AFTON does not work with door or bar fees so the only money you make is from ticket sales!

I did a show with afton and it was weird. It was a hip-hop show in a hipster dive bar in Williamsburg that usually has punk and metal bands. No one stays for the whole show. People are only there to see their artists and then they leave when they are done. The "headlining" artist that closed the show literally only had 6 people in the audience (besides me). Since I sold no tickets, I played first AND RECEIVED NO MONEY FOR AN HOUR LONG PERFORMANCE! I was shocked because I've never not been paid for a show I've done.

I was pissed. I'll admit. I e-mailed them about it.. and this was their response...

First of all what the f*ck is this?

I've played many shows in 10 years and they ALL paid cash at the END OF THE SHOW (and that was usually a take of the door and the bar). I've never done any show where they gave me a check weeks after the show...ever!

How did I screw over a venue that was already paid out by AFTON anyways beforehand? The ticket sales went straight to them and not the venue at all! The first thing that their representatives wanted was the ticket money. They don't give a sh!t about live music.

I then presented them with this lovely link I discovered about their lovely company and that was the end of our "business" relationship...

Afton Live Afton Shows Big Time Entertainment Pay-to-Play
This was their response.

At this point, this was the end of any future discussion I would ever have with them.

Afton basically spam e-mails anybody with a soundcloud, twitter, bandcamp, etc from the comfort of their homes in Oregon and have their cronies representatives collect money for shows. THAT'S IT.

NEVER PAY TO PLAY!

I've done a few of those..if you have merchandise to sell you can make your money back,,say if you sell 25 tix to open up for an act like Slum Village..well you could easily sell those tix at the door like I've seen people do...when you rock a show you can sell people t shirts and albums..so you're making money..I've never had to buy tix like youre talking about..I just had to sell tix to get the best set time..i still made like 15%

I think I work for one of these companies. A company with dishonest executives who try to scam, manipulate, and screw over its employees plenty of times? Must be true for everyone else working in retail.

Cydcor, Smart Circle, Appco Group etc. are just tentacles of the global direct sales cult known to some as Devilcorp. If you go to http://thedevilcorp.wordpress.com/ you will find a blueprint for their business and links to news reports, government rulings, lawsuits and video footage showing how these people do business. Scam is too kind a word.
