...The huge draw also produced eight $2 million Power Play winners and 73 $1 million winners nationwide who matched all five white balls but missed the red Powerball, said Sally Lunsford of the Kansas Lottery....
Who are the 3 winners of the $1.6 billion Powerball jackpot?

Eight two-milly winners and 73 one-milly winners. That's 16 million and 73 million for $89 million. I these side winnings cuts into the jackpot, but it doesn't as far as I've read.

WASHINGTON, Jan 15 (Reuters) - A Tennessee couple came forward on Friday with what they said was one of the three winning tickets for this week's record U.S. Powerball lottery jackpot, appearing with their lawyer on NBC's "Today" program.

Lisa and John Robinson of Munford, Tennessee, revealed on the television show that they held a winning ticket to claim their share of the $1.6 billion Powerball prize.

NBC said the ticket had not yet been officially verified, but the couple said they planned to bring it to lottery officials immediately after the show.

The Robinsons said they had reached out to NBC on the advice of their lawyer, Joe Townsend.

"The American public wants to hear from them," Townsend said. Although the couple wants to return to their private lives afterward, "they want to ... let the public know that they're the winners."

John Robinson said that although he did not feel well, he bought the ticket at a local grocery store at his wife's request on Wednesday night, just hours before the drawing.

He said they were excited about their winnings but were "a little scared" about their future.

"Now I'll be nervous because everybody knows," he said.

His wife said they had not had any time to think about what they would do with their share of the jackpot prize but that she planned to return to work on Monday.

"We were up all night," she told NBC. "We didn't get enough sleep."

Holders of the Wednesday night drawings' two other winning tickets, which were sold in California and Florida, have not yet come forward. (Reporting by Susan Heavey; Editing by Lisa Von Ahn)

Why would they come on TV especially so soon

actually its better for them to come out as soon as possible that way they cant get robbed of the ticket since the world knows who has the winning ticket.

Most people wanna be low key but id would want to everyone to know its me who won and if anyone tries to cash my shyt in,they'll know...

Monday's a holiday for a man assassinated in their state. Let that sink in.

Their attorney should have advised them to come forward after claiming if they were going to claim without a trust - unless they were paid to take the heat off the real winners. Otherwise, he's the reason why you don't use family friends for something this big.
