I remember hanging out with this white dude from my job. We was in Utah and I seen a black dude. I nodded at him and he nodded back like . White guy ask me if I knew the black guy. I told him I didn't know dude, but we got an understanding. Then I seen 3 more black people within an hour and it was all the same head nod. White dude seen it and was .

This happened to me when I was in Atlantic City with a coworker. We went to a liquor store and a dude opened the door for us because he was coming out. I gave him a nod and a pound. He turned around and said, "what's up fam, what casino are you going to?" I told him Caesar's. He said, "take this voucher to Showboat and they'll give you some cash. Me and my girl are about to hit the turnpike".
I'm like good look and gave him another pound.
My coworker looked at me and and asked, "is that your family? He called you fam."

I forgot what airport I was in, straight CAC central and this black guy was at the ticket counter, he gave me the head nod like I was the first black man he saw all week. Usually it takes really quick to get you checked in, but he was typing away like his life depended on it. He was like "you wondering why i'm taking so long", i hit him back with "i already know brother".

Got upgraded to first class on a cross country trip, I was black excellence

One example I remember was back when I was in college. I had this science course and we had to go to the Cincy Zoo for part of an assignment. I was the only black guy in the class and at one point saw several black workers. We all gave each other a nod and this white dude I was cool with wondered what it meant.

The same thing happened to me in Korea. I was the only black guy in the group and we were walking through the subway. I passed another black guy and we both through threw the nod and said "what's up". The other people in my group were like, " did you know that guy". I looked at them like and told them they wouldn't understand.
