I would say we getting several sequels after this one, now that it took a supernatural turn. It's so many ideas they can know come up with now that he's a evil sprit and his weakness is attached to finding the bodies of his victims.

Maybe a prequel of sorts focusing on how he turned into this killer while working at the camp, maybe the story of how his evil sprit is attached to the city and can possess other people or shyt go all Freddie/Jason with it and just bring him back with no explanation of how he's back.:mjlol:

I liked it :yeshrug:

I mean it wasn't terrible, just aiight :yeshrug: I wasn't expecting much from it at all. The girl did her thing though.

Definitely not the worse horror movie I've seen at the cinema - The Strangers (the one that came out last year) holds that title for me.

This has been a terrble year for sequels in horror. The garbage azz Conjuring, I know what you did last Summer, 28 years later, and this bullshyt. This shyt was terrible. I'm sitting in that theater last night looking at this slow burn bullshyt and an hour into the movie nothing has happened. They basically ripped off NOES for this nonsense. I won't be watching anymore sequels from them. Part 1 was good, but they could have kept this shyt.

I was thinking part 3 there's a copycat on the loose. 3rd act he somehow saves the main characters from the impostor, then the main characters defeat him again.

Theyre probably going to try and force a franchise. Wonder what theyre going to do about Ethan Hawke cause I doubt he'll want to keep playing this character

I'd give it a 5/10. Read how they went the NOES route and liked that direction. Looks nice :ehh:

I like how they give Wild Bill/Grabber more background and tying in the mom.

How they handled some shyt was bad though. Her randomly just realizing it's her dream and has control.
Finny being able to grab the Grabber while he invisible was lazily done. Yea they made it make sense with him feeling around for the body, still felt forced. Like they just wanted him to be useful.
The Dream/Real World interaction felt sloppy. Makes sense he can harm in the dream and it carries over to the real world. Stuff felt messy when he could mess with stuff in the real world for ppl not dreaming.
No one meaningful died, hell did anyone die? All the deaths we see are past victims in flashbacks. Thought at least Mondo was gonna die in the water, nope.

Looking forward to a potential 3rd. I need something to fill the NOES void :manny: :francis:

Am I the only one that thought about this when Mondo was like "Oh, Starlight was you mother? :steviej: "

Ehh, they can just have him do the voice over work. Not like you need to see his face anymore with how fukked up it is and the mask. If they just did voice over this movie, no one could really tell.

I agree with these 2. They shifted the plot to Gwen, then realized there was nothing for Finny to do so they had to have him do something so they did the invisible man fight. But it was out of place. They should've kept it as the roles switching with him being emotional anchor/support system like they did to her in the 1st. Have him completely unable to do anything to help her, other than something using his dead people phone powers.

They didn't do a good job establishing the rules. They said they've all seen and experienced stuff at the camp, but if that's the case, they should've always been in danger - sleep or not. And if he could only affect them in their sleep, the waking stuff to the extent he was doing was ridiculous. Then, why also didn't the other spirits take up a physical presence in the first? All they did was coach Finny from the afterlife, while Gwen dreamscaped. They'll probably go and really set the lore for the 3rd.

The brother and sister carried this film. Even though they're older I still felt attached like the 1st one. But Ethan was underwhelming. HIs wrestling promo speeches were lame. Only thing I liked was how "spinned" his opps. The other supporting characters were eh. Its not as bad as some make it out to be. I still enjoyed the world and the unraveling of the story. But they should had tried to make Ethan an iconic character

I want to see The Grabber in different decades. Hopefully we’re done with the family. Now that we know The Grabber’s backstory and powers, I want to see him amp up his control of dreams. I’d like the next writer to use his imagination with the manipulation.
