Everyone who has ever lived in the south knows pier pressure is on 5 million down there. It's why every dating profile has "Jesus is my life" even though they hoes and not religious at all. You better toe the fukking line in the south. Same hair cuts. Same sports teams. Same church or you get the fukk out. That is the south. It is monolithic and parents push their kids to do stuff in the south harder than any other location.

Proceeds to vote monolithically for decades.

Let's be honest, Bernie probably would have done better to completely ignore the black vote.

It is a monolith and has been forever. Joe has proven over and over that he bald face lies to the black community to get their vote but Clyborn says jump and the entire black community jumps. Also, black parents are notorious for forcing their kids in the south to vote their way.

I see the pier pressure all the time on a daily basis in the south.

All the work Bernie did in the south added to nothing. They chose who they were told to chose. Those percentages are ridiculous.

You mean like he's done his entire career in congress? :smugbiden:

Few things in life are a monolith.

Some of you all dont understand how politics work. You just want what you want when you want it and that is your prerogative, but you are setting yourself up for disappointment especially as it relates to American politics.

There will never be a candidate that tailors his/her agenda only around Black folks. The Republicans can get away with running an agenda that is tailored towards Christian White people with a supposed emphasis on morality and decreasing government regulations, because White people are still the majority here.

As the Hispanic demographic continues to grow they will eventually start having to court some of these non-White ethnic groups if they want to remain relevant.

Politics is giving everybody a little bit of what they want. No one ever gets everything they want. That's not how democracy works. America really isn't a true democracy its more of a democratic republic.

I agree we still aren't were we need to be in this country as Black people, but some of yall are foolish if you think we are worse off than we were in the 50s and 60s.

I've given up on this.
just focus on yourself and your families everyone
Yeah breh but politics effects your family and yourself. My cousin for example needs a new kidney and the bills are a ton for his parents. I cant imagine when the nikka turns 26 next year

I feel for him because the healthcare cut off affected me for a bit but at this point what are we supposed to do? The dems cheated Biden up there and he’s just not a good pick.
I wasn’t 100% on bernies policies but he was inspiring people.
Biden isn’t going to do anything for these new young voters

Why can't people accept that individuals made decisions?
Black parents in the South force their adult children to vote a certain way? Come on, man.

When a person runs for office, they have to take into account the voting patterns of the different segments, and formulate a plan to reach the widest part of that group.

Depending on what your voting record is, and what you propose to do once in office, there are always going to be people who don't take to your campaign.
