Darkskin girl hair has no product in it and it bothers people. :yeshrug:

ya nikkas man :francis:

it was more so about how this video in particular utilized kids to subtly reinforce stereotypes of dark skinned girls being confrontational and hating compared to their light-skinned / mixed counterparts... speaking more so toward mass depictions of black folks in the media. that was only one aspect of it, but i'll let you cook. :francis:

Yup me and my friends been talking about this for a minute. Notice how the dark girl's hair isn't combed at all, making her look as bad as possible. Whereas the lighskin girl's hair is perfectly maintained...

it was more so about how this video in particular utilized kids to subtly reinforce stereotypes of dark skinned girls being confrontational and hating compared to their light-skinned counterparts..
I mean...I get what you're saying and all but...isnt that the way things really are most of the time? :patrice:

The truth hurts we can sit and pretend it just a stereotype.
or we can try to fix the issue of why so many black girls are like that.

Um...i see nothing wrong. Its kids out having fun, not going to church. Curly head kids really do wake up like that, and the darker girl probably tossed her hair up in a pony tail and hopped out to play.

That...isnt anything to get up in arms over.
The fukked up part is only a c00n ass nikka would think theres something wrong with the dark girl's hair. Her shyt was thick, healthy and natural. They want her to have perms and other harmful ass shyt in it so she can look more "decent". There isnt anything wrong with that little girls hair.

One poster is atleast talking about her attitude but even that is a "damned if you do" thing because theres the stereotype that lightskin girls are stuck up and materialistic if she said it. Even if one of the boys did it then there is still a stereotype of black men not wanting to see another succeed. You cant please anyone in this type of petty situation. A goddamn Rick Ross and Drake video being used as a barometer for social issues in the community like there isnt better things to use as an example.

OP, you're not crazy. The media does subtle shyt like this all the time to reinforce stereotypes, but rather than address those issues, some here would rather play dumb. We all know (or at least should know) about the stereotype of the hyper sexual, loud, rude dark-skinned girl vs the classy, attractive, feminine light skinned girl. And I knew exactly what you were talking about as soon as I saw that part. So fukked up how the media is, but even more fukked up how some blacks try and pretend like they don't know what is going on.
