the Blazers are playing themselves into a position like the Suns did 2 seasons ago....Win all of these games lose in the 1st rd and basically end up with a low draft pick....I get that Dame and CJ are willing them to victories but at the end of this it may not be a good look for the long term success of this team....

The Raptors have won something like 16 of the last 19 games

What's crazy is the best backcourt in the league went to Washington State and Davidson college and the 3rd best (these cats) went to damn Weber St. and Lehigh

You don't need to go to a Duke, Kentucky, Florida, NC... not where you go but what you do while you're there

Suns had no stars though dragic was iigh Bledsoe and Thomas were iigh but no real stars. Lillard is the real deal and CJ gonna be better than any one of those guards the suns had.

That's not what the Suns did though. The Suns woulda ran with a first round matchup.

Portland's not one of these teams seeking a franchise player. In their mind they have one. They don't have a ton of money tied up in the roster. As long as they draft well and keep adding help for their backcourt, they'll be ok, and I hate saying that.

Ask yourself this: is a 10-14 pick really gonna be the key that puts them over the top?

We also gotta give credit to Terry Stotts. He really helped this team overachieve. I thought Lillard was gonna try chucking his way into the playoffs but he proved me wrong. If they can get a top 4 seed Lillard jus might win MVP :ohhh:.
He's not tho :mjlol:

Coach Carlisle disciple :obama:

Yall also been overachieving too. But that Wes Matthews and Parsons contract were a bad move looking at their production so far. its a shame cause Parsons was doin pretty nice on the Rockets.

Injuries but as long as we still have Dirk, we still gotta strive for the playoffs. Can't rebuild until he retires so it's whatever..love my top 12 nba player of all time German :francis:

then why couldn't you make the same argument for the 17th pick? It's not as if there's a huge gap in talent

This is true I hear that this isn't a strong draft but I have never been a big believer in that because I see some talented dudes and also some who may actually be better in the NBA with better coaching...I still think it would be better for this team long term to have a higher lottery pick but I feel the same way about the grizz as well...

They are a big man away from being a contender again. Lillard is a great player and CJ is pretty good too and they are the rare undersized backcourt that has actually thrived together. With the money they have all they have to do is the find the right pieces and hope they can get a franchise big and they are good for the next half decade at least. It's crazy with all the injuries over the years going back to Walton Bowie Oden Roy and players leaving the Blazers have pretty much always been a decent team other then a bad season here and now which ends up landing them these players that makes them a good team. Their scouts have got to be considered among the best in the league if not the best. Cause no way this is all luck with the good players they have drafted over the years.
