Black Album is the only album where its more good songs than bad songs

the rest of his albums be havin some trash on there

he mighta had some hits on all his albums but from top to bottom

Black Album is his best by far and he had to create a fake retirement to get in that kind of artistic space

Seeing as most of the people on this site are in their early 20s...most were probably listening to this album when they were around 10...11...12...maybe even 13 years old.

shyt anything I bumped all the time at that age was a "personal" classic to me. Thats why it gets over rated. Jigga was all over the radio at that time, thats all these young bucks knew at the time.

Its a good album...but the soul sample shyt was already being used by the Wu...ya'll only liked what was in your face.

Wouldn't call it overrated but it's not the all time classic that many say it is. The beats are what held this album down. Because i definitely think this is Jay's most non lyrical album. It took me a while to realize what Dame was talking about when he said Hovi Baby was better than anything on the BP1. I wouldn't have went that far but lyrically it did shyt on every song on the album.
