Who knew Hef was that important. Sign Suarez or Fairbanks and we should be able to make it work. If the ceiling on free agents is 3 years, fukk it, they should just sign Suarez and Fairbanks and lean into the super pen. We should be able to get both for what they would paid Diaz.

Like Evan Robert's said on the radio, there will be leaks, that will make it seem it's all Diaz' fault for leaving. At the end of the day, the Mets had an exclusive window to negotiate, but failed to leave with a contract signed.

I honestly think Diaz just wanted out. That's a bullshyt excuse, especially since Williams made it clear that he was ok with setting Edwin up.
Diaz was pretty adamant to opt out bro. After receiving a record breaking deal for a reliever. Dude just wanted to dip. It's whatever.
