One of my fav Jay albums, aside from a few tracks. Jay was rapping his ass off and the beats were good.

Nas got under Hov’s skin so bad with Ether that his ego made him make a double album so folks would praise him the same way we praised Pac and Biggie when they did it. 
There were a lot of good ass records on this album. But there are a shytload of filler…if it was condensed to 16 tracks it would be looked at a lot differently. Hence why they released 2.1

This thread is lacking without the Austin Powers imitations he was doing. "Oh behave". He was flowing on the album and it's one of his best lyrically, but it's an overall mess of an album with lyricism and flows drowned in cornices.
