Makes me appreciate Andrew luck that much more. What he's been doing with that trash o-line is incredible.

I think the coaching staff and talent on the roster has a big effect on how successful a young QB is. nikkas love to argue about which QBs are better then the other without looking at the roster that surrounds them. Put Russell Wilson on the Jags or Kaepernick on the bills and watch them struggle and get benched 2 seasons later.

I don't understand why these shytty franchises expect to rookie QBs to come out of no where and save the team.

I think Bridgewater and Bortles will be fine. I like Derek Carr the most out of this rookie class. He's shown flashes. Quick release and a rocket for an arm. Oakland needs to put some playmakers around him and he'll be fine. Surpringly Mettenberger hasn't looked bad either. I wasn't a fan when he was at LSU, but he's holding his own. Think this draft class will eventually produce 3-4 decent starters. Possibly even more if Garopolo (sp?) turns into something. That's not bad.

Bortles looks good to me. Just needs more experience and and a better offense. I think Carr and Bridgewater will also be fine. I saw Bridgewater get annihilated by the Lions d-line but he kept his composure, hit his check downs when he could, etc.

When you look at the bottom 5 ranked QB's in the NFL out of 33qb's, making the list is based off of number of attempts I imagine.

29. EJ Manuel 80.3 QB rating
30. Jake Locker 75.9 QB rating
31. Teddy Bridgewater 71.3 QB rating
32. Blake Bortles 68.3 QB rating
33. Geno Smith 65.6 QB rating

What does it tell you? These newer QB's aint shyt. and the 2013 QB draft class is in the running for WOAT, as we all knew heading into that draft.
So is this what Geno meant when he said he expects to be top 5? :lupe:

i didn't really pay attention to rookie/young qb's back in the day (pre~04), but this burn and churn of qb's over the past ~7 years should reinforce the value of sitting qb's for a 1-2 years. it seems like most qb's back in the day weren't expected to be the starter out the gate, but those crazy 1st round deals made it mandatory that rookie qb's start. a few had success in the mid-00's and since then, everyone simply expects all these dudes to walk in and take a team to the title game. some of the qb's who got tossed in the bushes might have been decent if they weren't thrown on the field in the first year and on terrible teams. like damn, you got a rookie in there no o-line, half a receiver, and a shoddy defense what the fukk is supposed to happen

You're sexy :wow:
