The thing with social media culture. And the culture in general nowadays. Is that people don't wanna be associated with losers. And the world can turn on you QUICK. No matter how big you are. And drake is 37 so truthfully he didn't have many years left anyway. The youth haven't really been playing his music like that for a while.
Clubs all across the world are still dancing and singing to Aubrey being a pedophile. Then you add in that leaked mob ties reference and drake's credibility has taken a huge hit over the past month. He worked so hard to build up his aura over the past 10 years and Kendrick completely ripped it to shreds in a matter of weeks. Kendrick made it cool to be a drake hater and made it corny to be a drake fan.
It's the same thing Game did to gunit. Their brand was never the same after that g-unot campaign. And we're seeing the same thing happen now to drake.
Or course Aubrey will still go on to do big numbers. Get number 1 albums. But he's always gonna have that stench of defeat on him. If it was a close battle that could have gone either way it would be different. But he lost in such embarrassing fashion that for the time being the general public feels embarrassed to play his music. And the jokes aren't going away any time soon.
Dude just needs to chill out for a bit. Focus on making actual good music instead of the same generic bullshyt he been releasing for years. And eventually people will move on. He just gotta hope and pray that more exposals don't keep coming out. But something tells me the worst is yet to come for him. All these leaks feel like somebody is taunting him. Sending him a warning. He might fukk around and have his entire career exposed.
