In other words, self-lead. Black people need to stop looking to others for leadership. We're all capable of finding our own way without dudes like P.O.P.A. Umar.
Yeah but that's what I was gonna say at the end of my post. Not everyone is equipped, be it mentally or with respect to resources, to lead themselves. Truth of the matter is a lot of people cannot really think for themselves and needs someone to lead them. I don't necessarily see this as a bad thing. It can just be a dangerous thing because some people are so willing and open to new ideas and new ways of thinking but with the wrong, I guess you could call it, guidance, it can lead to harm.
I'm honestly not even saying that this is what those dudes are doing, I just don't personally trust them based on what I've seen from them. And the fact that some of their views don't align with mine. Ture and Hamilton spoke on that as well. A big problem being that even with a lot of people striving for progress earnestly, black folk aren't a monolith in their values.
Again, speaking of me personally, I don't believe a black woman's place in this world is that of a submissive role to black men. I've never liked the concept and ultra-submissive women kinda creep me out. I know a lot of conscious dudes who think incredibly differently on that particular subject.
