I really have a strong dislike for Nikki....shes only out for self and willing to do whatever to get what she want and this ep clearly shows that....wonder how DV gonna feel knowing she is behind the politics thats bout to happen to him and Ahm via sampling. (This is how season 2 is gonna start off)....Overall good show....and im the only one waiting for that Ahm joint to drop (Come on Preme)

Just caught up with this and I like it a lot. The series has allowed them to expand a lot more than they could with the film. It's so hard to get behind Nicki. She's a habitual liar and stays writing cheques she can't follow through on. Ahm is unintentionally the funniest character on this show. Whatever the weather, dude is always like

As soon as he started rapping, I was like because he had the cadence and mannerisms down to a T.

If this show goes the distance (2+ years into the future), it would be funny if they brought that kid back briefly for when Illmatic drops so Barry can be like "I swear I know this kid from somewhere? Didn't he audition for us?!"

Show is really hitting its stride now. Those two Ahm tracks have Premo's fingerprints all over them. Even alluded to how important sampling was to Hip Hop. Shame they cracked down on it. shyt was a win/win for everyone. The new artist gets to flip a song that's been long forgotten and the artist's music that was sampled gets new life.

Nicki is too ambitious for own her good. Mattie Taylor is too stupid to see that Nicki is the future and could of rode that wave.

Ahm wasted his mans with out deliberation.
