I find it hilarious that Asians would cry that they are more than martial arts but every fukking big project they out out now involves martial arts :russ:
which asians are saying it the woke asians of the western world or the masses?
I think the masses love action movies

Nah before they got crazy rich Asians and some of these a24 artsy prestige type movies they were saying the only Hollywood movies getting the greenlight for Asian casts involves martial arts as the premise

Basically they wanted to show they're more than that, which is fair.

But every show/movie I'm seeing Michelle yeoh in involves martial arts :dead:

Just was funny to me

I understand what you are saying I'm just saying that wasn't coming from all Asians just a sunset of western woke ones, not Asian audiences.

They love American movies more than the CCP movies they just have to only watch it on the black market.

Petty Vandross.. fukk Yall
Fam could be a good replacement for Keanu if they created a new John Wick type flick:ehh:
I get the inside Michelle Yeoh joke of her not knowing how to fight but everybody and they momma know her credentials :childplease:
Little momma who was sent to kill her probably even read the script like:childplease:

It was decent but the nikka playing Bruce needs to stick to improv in real life:russ:
That nikka was terrible
And the Awkwafina best friend shyt:mjpls:
And the nikka playing Frank Ma stop putting extras on the way he talks like in other films:mjpls:
6.5/10

The year 3030
solid overall

restaurant brawl was :myman:

bruce still a little bytch, but albeit not as much

was wrong about grace, thought she'd be associated w/ one of the triads, after she mentioned the restaurant stuff.

Just finished, thought it was pretty solid overall :ehh:. From an action standpoint, it's not on the level of say Warrior or Into the Badlands, but is pretty good compared to most shows and they come up with some creative scenes. Would say it's more comedic than serious drama, as it mostly has a light fun energy even when dealing with triads and crime. Humor was pretty hit or miss for me, but I liked the family bond/dynamics that played out over the course of the season. Great use of food throughout.

Michelle Yeoh was clearly the strongest actor among the cast, although Bruce and Charles have moments. It did keep me engaged to finish it over the weekend.

I loved this show. Just find it interesting that they didn't seem to have to meet the Netflix "diversity" :dame: quota. It would be impossible to have a show nowadays that had literally 97% of all dialogue spoken by Black characters without somebody being zesty
