No one said that. Thibs never should've waited this late to make adjustments. It's simple as that.
They were supposed to adjust the rotations based off MAKING the conference finals
Is this the logic we working with

Delon Wright played well in JB's absence when he hurt his ankle against the Lakers. Thibs rewards that by barely playing him again during the regular season until he he was FORCED to make a change with his job & season on the line. That's not good coaching but Thibs 101 coaching lolThe Knicks won. And hopefully they win 3 more times
Pretending that all the guards on the Knicks bench are capable of McConnell level production is obtuse

That's not the point lol. We've all said JB needs a backup to get breathers. Wright proved during the regular season he's a better facilitator & defender than Cam Payne in the small amount of time he was allowed to play. But Thibs deep sixed his ass to the bench like he always does because he's stubborn. Even still, he was FORCED into using Wright because Deuce picked up 3 quick fouls. That's not good coaching. Thibs only makes these adjustments when he's forced toThe Knicks are in the conference finals without playing Wright.

The Knicks' starting rotation barely scraped by the Pistons, and if not for historic shooting woes in the first 2 games, Boston likely would've won the semis.
Asking for the coach who has anchored the best successful run in 30 years to be fired is not constructive criticism

Considering we’re here because of how talented we are versus how good his coaching is, I think it’s a valid criticism
He had 80+ games to make adjustments and waited till today
Many of us wanted Wright to get more minutes a while ago and Thibs JUST realized lol
The Knicks should've beaten the Pistons in 5 (or 4) and with bigger margins of victory. So you're logic is that if they played a 9 man rotation with no one over 38 minutes. They would've beat the Pistons/Celtics in 5?
You are completely missing the point. It's the head coach's job to make adjustments as the season progresses. Especially during the playoffs, you have to adjust your rotations to have the advantage matchup. Thibs has only adjusted because he was forced to because of guys getting into foul trouble.Knicks potentially making the Finals and nikkas is crying that Precious Achiuwa ain't playing
Just dense
