Dude the franchise player isn’t coming off the bench. It’s an absurd proposition and completely disrespectful to Brunson. You can stagger them differently and at the end of the day they’re going to share the floor when it’s winning time. You think running it back with the same principles is going to bring any other result?
Brunson can still play relatively the same minutes, but breaking up the time in which he and KAT share the court is going to be beneficial to everyone. The ball moves more and that feeds into the synergy at the other end when Brunson isn't on the floor. Having KAT, Brunson, Mikal and OG on the floor at the same time for the majority of the game doesn't bring out the best versions of themselves. That doesn't mean that lineup should be abandoned, altogether, but staggering them, allowing each player to touch the ball and work themselves into the game is a better strategy.
It'll also help defensively because they can surround them with more defensive-minded pieces.
Trading KAT or Brunson is the "insane solution". You won't get players better than them, because they're not on offer. You have to make it work with them. Y'all won't get a better core than you have now, so it's all about maximizing them and surrounding them with the appropriate pieces.
OG had a career year as well not much more you can do to get him going.
