Okc went through sunshine all 3 rounds to get to the finals. Knicks all 3 rounds have been crazy physicalI think we can comeback in this series but man OKC will be tough
Hartenstein won
LMAO
Brunson played very well with Randle if that's who you're talking about, I dunno where this narrative that they didn't is coming from all of a sudden. It's a bit of revisionist history if you ask me.And enough of the trading KAT talk. If they move him, that's TWO all NBA big men that Brunson couldn’t play with. At some point Brunson has to adapt his game to mesh well with the rest of the roster.
I know, Knicks were clicking until Randle got hurt (Brunson played very well with Randle if that's who you're talking about, I dunno where this narrative that they didn't is coming from all of a sudden. It's a bit of revisionist history if you ask me.
After thinking about it I'm a fan of keeping Towns though. The biggest issue the roster has isn't Towns fit with Brunson, it's Hart's fit with the starting 5. The Knicks haven't had a 5 out offense all year because of Hart, and I say that with all due respect because Hart has played out of his mind considering how poor of a fit he is. But the Knicks need a true shooting guard bad, a spot up, high volume shooter who can hit shots from places other than the corners. If the Knicks can get that guy we might have an historic kind of offense on our hands. I mean look at the effect Turner is having on the Pacers, he's pulling our bigs out of the paint and giving the Pacers all sorts of easy looks, and he's no where near the shooter that Towns is.
A few small tweaks and The Knicks can probably end up right back in the ECF next year too imo.
That's going to leave Mikal or Brunson stuck on Siakim. Very bad matchup. As far as tonight goes, Brunson needs to just nut up, switch on those screens and guard Hali. Mikal isn't getting over those screens and Brunson is doing a bad job of hedging and recovering, and both caused the whole defense to break down last game. Brunson might get cooked, but letting Hali go off while we contain the others guys might be the way to win.
That or we stick OG on Hali instead. He'll actually fight over the screens.
Yeah both are gonna get cooked probably. Ain't no easy answers to solving the Pacers offense, but I do trust Thibs enough to have some sort of gameplay to keep us from going out 4-1. It's about pride now, and I can't see any team coached by Thibs going out like that, his faults be damned. That's going to leave Mikal or Brunson stuck on Siakim. Very bad matchup.

More importantly, they need a 2 guard who can guard the point of attack. My nominee is Lonzo Ball. It’s a gamble on his health but he can play on and off ball on offense and set Brunson up for some Catch and Shoot opportunities. Also allows Mikal to play more help defense which is his bigger strength.Brunson played very well with Randle if that's who you're talking about, I dunno where this narrative that they didn't is coming from all of a sudden.
