i agree.... amerikkka needs to stop policing the world, make other nations pay for their defense, and concentrate our resources on making our country better.... ah, but the "small government" conservatives will never go for this....

this is true... but the party of small government that is advocating most for cuts in spending refuses to cut anything on the military end.... i think they'd have no problems cutting health care, pensions, and welfare spending.... military? they won't cut.... another thought i'd like to posit is, how can a small iddy biddy government police a planet of 8b people... just by giving our government the mandate of policing the world makes it necessary to be huge in size...I agree that military spending is a problem, but there's a lot that should be cut....
now for my obligatory concession statement, both sides are for spending... only they are for spending on their own agendas... it's like a husband and wife arguing over the family budget... he wants a new set of golf clubs, she wants a new dress, but the mortgage is due... what to do, what to do...
