Yeah, I didn't wanna respond to that initial post since it was 10 yrs ago, but the Common from back then and now are two completely different artists, almost literally, since he was still going by Common Sense.

Common didn't get all completely granola and incensed out until Like Water For Chocolate. If he had stayed in his One Day It'll All Make Sense lane (his best album IMO), he'd be unquestionably top 5. But the Common from when he roasted Cube with one of the GOAT disses wasn't anything like the post-Badu version of Common.

I saw the date and said. Well piff is a good poster.
if i state why i pushed back respectfully and pr my intent.

throw back threads are interesting reads to revisit.
i usually have to catch myself on past dated ones like this. Yet i could not let common be reduced to the black Hollywood common meets george clooney. or common clooney.

Common was a Vice Lord I mean he could’ve taken it there I think he was just trying to grow in the entertainment industry and not return to that life.
